Description Problem – You’ve got a rotten sliding door. Solution – You found a great used door. Problem – The bracket for the central door locking actuator is missing (None CDL sliding door) Solution – Fit this nifty bracket to retain your central locking. As vans get older then sometimes you will need to fit a used panel, in these times of new panels not being available then beggars can’t be choosers and you may have to make compromises as to what you buy as it’s simply the only thing available at the time. As you have problems like this then some Smart-Alec comes along with a solution. Here it is. Direct copy of the original bracket with some holes in the ends to allow it to be riveted down. It’s that simple and with there being a recess in the panel already then you can’t get it wrong, simply line it up on the door, centre pop and drill to 5mm. Rivet the bracket in to place. Done. All that’s left to do is cut the slot for the electrics in the front edge of the door. Please also add 4 rivets listed below to your basket unless you intend to screw or weld the bracket in place.
