This guide is worth every penny and more in my humble opinion. It is chock full of information, easy to read, and so generous, even containing easy to make products yourself – well I say easy, Lisa makes it look so achievable and I am excited to get experimenting! The guide starts by describing what aromatherapy oils are and then goes on to explain what allergens are, and even lists the most common ones so we know what to look out for on labels. There is a detailed section on Linalool and Limonene to help us understand where these are derived from and which oils contain them. There is a comprehensive list to show not only which oils are fine for Linalool/Limonene allergy sufferers to use, but also a description of the oils’ properties, what they are best used for etc. I found this to be most helpful. Lisa recommends some of the best sellers to purchase oils from and even what to look out for on suppliers websites to ensure the quality, so even if you already have somewhere you purchase your oils from you can check to see if they are affiliated. We get to know all of the products available from LJ Natural that are L&L free and also encouraged to ask for other products to be adapted even if not listed as such as Lisa can be accommodating with this. As if all this info is not enough, there is a further section re oils and how best to use them and a fantastic list of suggested oil blends to use for certain common emotional and physical issues, i.e Fatigue / Anxiety / Headaches / Coughs & Colds / Stretch-marks / Cellulite and many more, extremely useful, all done for us! Even more invaluable info follows, such as other great products to use when making your own skincare items and, most importantly, those to avoid – this is especially handy for us to be able to check ingredients of any other personal items we have around the house, and so we know what to avoid when purchasing in the future. Finally, a whole SEVEN recipes for us to try our hand at, they all sound amazing, they range from exfoliating scrub to lip balm! This guide is jam packed full and so much info, but not overwhelming at all. I would highly recommend purchasing, even if you don’t have a particular sensitivity or allergy, the recipes alone and the lists of oils – properties and different blends are really worth having, not to mention the ingredients to avoid. I’m off to make some bath salts, wish me luck
